Download Zotero from zotero.org. 


 

Install

1. Before installing Zotero, close any open Microsoft Office programs (e.g., Word).
2. Launch the Zotero installer application.
3. Download and install the browser connector.  If you use more than one browser, you can download Zotero Connectors for other browsers.
    

   

If you want to use Zotero on multiple devices or are planning on sharing your resources with other people, you'll need to create a Zotero account. You'll be able to sync from the cloud to your desktop, and vice versa. 

1. To create an account on the zotero.org page click login and register for a free account.
   
   
    
2. You'll receive an email notification with instructions on how to set up Zotero syncing. 
    
3. Open your Zotero desktop application.
    
   1. Open the Sync pane for Zotero settings/preferences:
       

      Mac	Windows
      From the menu select Zotero => Settings	From the menu select Edit => Preferences
      On the Sync page, enter your Zotero account information and select Set Up Syncing.
      Select Sync Automatically and Sync Full-Text Content.

You'll now be able to sync from your desktop to the cloud and vice versa.
