The Graduate Writer's Reading List: Graduate Writing Support

The books in this guide are selected to support graduate students through their dissertation and thesis writing process

Are you a graduate student in need of writing support?

Writing support is available for UAF graduate students at all stages of the writing process, from defining your questions or crafting a proposal to working through dissertation structure and edits. 

Book an appointment to meet with Victoria, our graduate writing support specialist, who will work one-on-one with you to sort questions big and small.

Options for support

Drop-in Hours

UAF graduate students are invited to drop-in at the UAF Writing Center, located inside the Student Success Center on the 6th floor of Rasmuson Library. Our Graduate Writing Support Specialist, Dr. Victoria Oyewola, is available for appointments as follows:

Monday: 10am-12pm, 1-3pm

Tuesday: 1-4pm

Wednesday: 10am-12pm, 1-3pm

Friday: 10am-12pm, 1-2pm

Get Your Writing Done

Open Writing Sessions are 10am-12pm every Friday and are an opportunity to connect with other UAF writers and build community around working through writing projects. Facilitated on Zoom by the UAF Center for Teaching and Learning, these sessions offer quick tips to help you build productivity in your writing and then reserve the majority of the session just for you to write.
