The Collection Development and Engagement Librarian oversees the evaluation, selection, and management of materials in the general collections at the Rasmuson Library, including books, periodicals, serials, videos, scores, recorded music, electronic resources, and many other materials, in order to support the research and teaching needs of all UAF faculty, researchers and students. The Libraries do not have subject specialists for all disciplines, so faculty input is critical to the strength of our collections; please let us know if you have concerns or questions.
As a UAF student, faculty or staff member, your input on our collections is valuable! Suggestions for specific items or subject areas are greatly appreciated. If you'd like to make a suggestion, you may use our online form (see below) or contact the Collection Development and Engagement Librarian, Genova Boyd, directly for an appointment.
The Collection Development and Engagement Librarian establishes and maintains cooperative collection development agreements with other local, state, and regional libraries, which allow access for UAF library patrons to materials not owned by the UAF libraries.
Collection policies and gift policies are the responsibility of the Collection Development and Engagement Librarian. Questions about those policies may be directed to Genova Boyd.
