The Alaska and Polar Regions Collections & Archives is glad to help with research assistance.

Research Assistance in the Archives

Archives staff are happy to provide one hour of research time per request at no charge.

Most requests can easily be completed this amount of time.

Additional research assistance can be provided at the discretion of the staff. Additional fees may apply.

  • 1st hour: free 
  • >1* hour: $75.00/hour
    *Maximum of 4 total hours per request. Dependent on staff availability.


Research Assistance from the Alaska Film Archives

Let us help you with your basic research needs, or assist you in getting started with your own research into our vast archival moving image collections.

Many items are available for viewing online, but this is only the tip of the iceberg!

The majority of our collections are available only upon request. This requires searching through the library catalog and other databases.
