News & Events: Alaska Film Archives extended closure over winter break

Alaska Film Archives extended closure over winter break

The Alaska Film Archives is closed to the public Dec. 15, 2021, to Jan. 15, 2022, so that staff may focus on preservation and processing of collections.

But don't fret! You may still access our historical film and video resources during this time - see the links below. Please check back after Jan.15 if staff may assist you with research or provide you with clips for use in productions, presentations and classes. We look forward to serving you in the New Year with an expanded array of film archives resources and materials!

The Alaska Film Archives is a unit of the Alaska and Polar Regions Collections & Archives (APRCA) department located in the Elmer E. Rasmuson Library. Please note that all of APRCA and the library will be closed for Winter Break Dec. 18, 2021, through Jan. 9, 2022.
