About the Library
Welcome to The Elmer E. Rasmuson Library of The University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF). Containing more than 1.75 million items, we are the largest library in the state of Alaska. The library is comprised of the main library as well as the BioSciences Library, which is located in the Arctic Health Research building.

Digital Pipeline (formerly known as Databases for Alaskans)
Digital Pipeline is a statewide service that provides Alaskans access to subscription journal databases. For more information about this service, go directly to the Digital Pipeline web site.
Photocopiers and Printers
Rasmuson Library has a networked system of laser printers and photocopiers. If you have a valid Polar Express card you may add money to your card specifically for printing and photocopying.
A VTS machine (Value Transfer Station) will accept your cash and add it to your card electronically. The VTS is located next to the library Circulation Desk. Please ask for assistance if needed!
Study Carrels
Library study carrels are available to graduate students based on carrel availability and your statement of need. Carrels are located on levels 5 and 6 of Rasmuson Library, require a $25 refundable deposit, and may be used for a maximum of one year.

Study Rooms
Rasmuson Library has several group study rooms available for student use. Rooms may be reserved or used on a first-come/first-served basis.
