Requesting Materials using Interlibrary Loan

You may request materials via Interlibrary Loan (ILL):

  • From within library databases
  • Using the online form

Requesting Materials via ILL from within library databases

Many of our article/book databases allow you to submit an ILL directly from the database. Each database is different, generally if the database supports ILL requests, you'll see a link to request the article via ILL. Instructions for requesting an article from within a database are below.

  1. Click the link to submit the request.
Each database is set up differently, so the links/icons to submit an ILL may look like any of the following:

    • Illiad_88_20.gif (as in ProQuest databases)
    • Submituaf.gif (as in EBSCO and OCLC databases)
    • Csasubmit.gif (as in CSA databases)
  2. After clicking the icon, the UAF ILLiad login will open in a new window. Login to system using the username and password you created when setting up the account. Note, you may need to resize the window.
  3. After logging in review the citation information and if needed, make changes.
  4. Scroll down and click the "Submit Request" button.
  5. To logout, click the "Exit ILLiad System" button.
