UAF students, staff, and faculty can now enter the library to pick out or to return their own materials, accessing the library by PolarExpress card.

Public library patrons can again place holds on our materials through the public library's catalog. Items can be picked up at the Noel Wien Library or the North Pole Branch.

University patrons who are reluctant to enter the library can still check materials out by appointment. Set an appointment to pick up items.

Welcome Della Hall as our new Associate Archivist

Della HallWe are pleased to welcome Della Hall as our new Associate Archivist in the Alaska and Polar Regions Collections & Archives.

Ms. Hall oversees the staff who work with the manuscripts and photographs collection and assist patrons in the Paul H. McCarthy Research Room.

Della holds an M.A. in History with a Certificate in Museum Studies from University of Delaware, and a B.S. in History, Technology, and Society from Georgia Institute of Technology. She is currently working on her M.A. in Anthropology at UAF and has a background working in a variety of archives and museums. She most recently worked for the Western History Association, the Pioneer Air Museum, and the University of Alaska Museum of the North.
