The Library is pleased to welcome Charles Hilton, our new Assistant Archivist!
Charles was raised in Colorado and earned his BA in History and MA in Teaching from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. He relocated to Fairbanks three years ago, in order to take advantage of UAF’s MA in Northern Studies program. Charles' Master’s Thesis is on the Sami Cultural Revitalization Movement of the 20th Century, centered around the Reconstruction Era following WWII and minority-majority relations in Norway.
Most recently, Charles worked at the Museum of the North in the Ethnology & History department prior to joining the Archives.
