See our Library Services Updates page for information about changes to Rasmuson Library Services.

UAF students, staff, and faculty can now enter the library to pick out or to return their own materials, accessing the library by PolarExpress card.

Public library patrons can again place holds on our materials through the public library's catalog. Items can be picked up at the Noel Wien Library or the North Pole Branch.

University patrons who are reluctant to enter the library can still check materials out by appointment. Set an appointment to pick up items.

Survey for Alaska/Polar students and researchers

Please help us steer the direction of the Alaska & Polar Periodical Index by taking a short survey.  It should take 2-5 minutes to complete.  Your answers will be helpful even if you have never used it.

The Alaska & Polar Periodical Index (APPI) cites over 200,000 English-language articles -- chiefly about Alaska, but also about the Circumpolar North and Antarctica.  It is a service of the Elmer E. Rasmuson Library and can be found here: http://catalog.library.uaf.edu/aprindex/.  We are currently evaluating APPI: its level of use, its ease of use, and the scope of its coverage.  Your answers will help us decide the direction to take APPI to make it as useful a tool as possible.

You can find the survey here: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/APPI

If you have questions, please contact Paul Adasiak, APPI Editor: pfadasiak@alaska.edu.  Thanks for your help.
