UAF students, staff, and faculty can now enter the library to pick out or to return their own materials, accessing the library by PolarExpress card.

Public library patrons can again place holds on our materials through the public library's catalog. Items can be picked up at the Noel Wien Library or the North Pole Branch.

University patrons who are reluctant to enter the library can still check materials out by appointment. Set an appointment to pick up items.

New Bird Notecards Available!

A1768-PlateIV.pngThere's a new notecard set available from the Alaska History Store.

These special cards may be purchased online or in person from Digital Photographic Services, Room 334, in the Rasmuson Library.

There are 10 color Alaska bird plates from Alaska Rare Book A1768, which resides in the Alaska and Polar Regions Collections and Archives.

The cards can be individually packaged and sold for $3.00 each, or a box of all 10 are available in an elegant white box with a clear cover, for $31.00.

Both make great gifts.

Purchases support the continued photographic preservation and access work of the Alaska and Polar Regions Collections and Archives.
