UAF students, staff, and faculty can now enter the library to pick out or to return their own materials, accessing the library by PolarExpress card.

Public library patrons can again place holds on our materials through the public library's catalog. Items can be picked up at the Noel Wien Library or the North Pole Branch.

University patrons who are reluctant to enter the library can still check materials out by appointment. Set an appointment to pick up items.

Meet Our New Collection Development and Engagement Librarian!

Please welcome Genova Boyd, Rasmuson Library's new Collection Development and Engagement Librarian.

Genova holds Bachelor's Degree in Teaching and Classical History from the University of Newcastle in Sydney Australia; a Masters of Arts in Ancient History from Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia; and a Masters of Library Information Services from Edith Cowan University in Perth, Australia.

Genova has most recently come from Houston Texas where she was the Adult Programming and Services Manager at the Lone Star College- Tomball Community Library.

She enjoys walking her dogs and hiking, reading (of course), watching movies, and getting out into the natural environment.

Genova is looking forward to living and working in Alaska where the wilderness is such an amazing and integral part of life.
