See our Library Services Updates page for information about changes to Rasmuson Library Services.

UAF students, staff, and faculty can now enter the library to pick out or to return their own materials, accessing the library by PolarExpress card.

Public library patrons can again place holds on our materials through the public library's catalog. Items can be picked up at the Noel Wien Library or the North Pole Branch.

University patrons who are reluctant to enter the library can still check materials out by appointment. Set an appointment to pick up items.

Honoring Our Firefighters Display

Honoring Our Firefighters display at Sadler'sBeginning in 2009, Sadler’s Home Furnishings, at 610 Cushman Street, (downtown) has supported the efforts of the Alaska and Polar Regions Collections & Archives at the University of Alaska Fairbanks.

The manager, Peter Beaver, pays for the historical photographs on display and the associated signage, which is located in the foyer of the building.

The theme for the current display is: “Honoring Our Firefighters”.

The wall-mounted display cases were donated by Candace Waugaman, another huge supporter of the Archives.

We are grateful for the support and invite everyone to stop by and enjoy some hometown history.
