UAF students, staff, and faculty can now enter the library to pick out or to return their own materials, accessing the library by PolarExpress card.

Public library patrons can again place holds on our materials through the public library's catalog. Items can be picked up at the Noel Wien Library or the North Pole Branch.

University patrons who are reluctant to enter the library can still check materials out by appointment. Set an appointment to pick up items.

Get Ready for Cookies & Dogs

De-stress with cookies and dogs!

  • Cookies will be served on Tuesday, April 30th & Wednesday, May 1st from 7:30am-noon
  • Therapy dogs will be at the library Tuesday, April 30th & Wednesday, May 1st from 1:00pm - 5:00pm and 6:00pm - 8:00pm both days

Alexandria Charles, a junior biology major from California, spends some quality time with Yukon the golden retriever on Dogs in the Library day. The event is offered during finals week to provide students with a bit of stress relief.
