UAF students, staff, and faculty can now enter the library to pick out or to return their own materials, accessing the library by PolarExpress card.

Public library patrons can again place holds on our materials through the public library's catalog. Items can be picked up at the Noel Wien Library or the North Pole Branch.

University patrons who are reluctant to enter the library can still check materials out by appointment. Set an appointment to pick up items.

Elsevier/ScienceDirect/Scopus Data Breach

Motherboard has reported that "Elsevier Left Users’ Passwords Exposed Online."

Rasmuson Library subscribes to the following Elsevier databases:

  • Encyclopedia of Quaternary Science
  • Reaxys
  • ScienceDirect
  • Scopus

If you have created a personal account on any of the databases listed above, we strongly recommend you change your password immediately.

Additionally, if one of your Elsevier accounts uses the same password that you use to login to your UAF Email (@alaska.edu) account, please login to ELMO and change your password immediately.
