See our Library Services Updates page for information about changes to Rasmuson Library Services.

UAF students, staff, and faculty can now enter the library to pick out or to return their own materials, accessing the library by PolarExpress card.

Public library patrons can again place holds on our materials through the public library's catalog. Items can be picked up at the Noel Wien Library or the North Pole Branch.

University patrons who are reluctant to enter the library can still check materials out by appointment. Set an appointment to pick up items.

Doggies are coming!

Once again, the library will enjoy a finals week visit from Companions, Inc. volunteers and their wonderful furry friends.

Dogs will be here Tuesday and Wednesday, May 1-2 from 1:00-5:00pm and 6:00-8:00pm, located on the 4th floor of Rasmuson Library.

A few students have asked about goats and other critters; this program is run by Companions, Inc. so we see the animals that have been vetted and which are accompanied by their volunteer owners. Please don't bring your own pets; if you love this idea, you might consider volunteering with Companions, Inc. See their website for more information.
