UAF students, staff, and faculty can now enter the library to pick out or to return their own materials, accessing the library by PolarExpress card.

Public library patrons can again place holds on our materials through the public library's catalog. Items can be picked up at the Noel Wien Library or the North Pole Branch.

University patrons who are reluctant to enter the library can still check materials out by appointment. Set an appointment to pick up items.

Are you interested in history and doing meticulous work? Does the idea of precisely photographing every page of a rare book or all the details of a map excite you? Would you like your work to be seen by thousands? Do you have experience with image editing software, scanners, and cameras? Then you might be just the person we're looking for! We're looking for someone to serve as our Digital Imaging Technician in the photo lab of the UAF Rasmuson Library. We're seeking a conscious detail-oriented person to be the primary creator of digital content from physical items like rare books, maps and photographs. See details at Careers at UA.
