How Do I ...? - Dissertations

If you go to "Find Articles" then choose "databases by title" at http://library.uaf.edu/onlinedatabases/ui/alpha.php and enter "dissertations" in the box at left, you will find a link on the results page that says "Dissertations & Theses at the University of Alaska Fairbanks". You will notice that it has a little padlock picture next to it. This means that if you are a UAF student, staff or faculty, you must login to use this database, **if you are off campus**. If you are on campus, both visitors and UAF students, staff and faculty may use this database without logging in. Visitors that are not affiliated with the University of Alaska system may not view this database from off campus.
We also have records of dissertations in our catalog, Goldmine. By doing a subject search for "dissertations" or "University of Alaska Fairbanks - dissertations" you can see the previously published works we have in print here in the library. You may also do a keyword or title or author search, if you know that.

Keep in mind, while we try to have a copy of all UAF published theses, some may be in the closed "rare book" section and may not be checked out.
