How Do I ...? - Journal & Database Access
Questions and answers about journal and database access.
Not all journal articles are available online. Sometimes only a citation or abstract is available. Here are some tips to see if the article is accessible online.
a. Look for a .html or .pdf link in the article citation.
b. Look for the "Find It" link. Click the link to see if the full text document opens.
c. Search the UAF journals list for the title of the periodical. If the title appears, click on the link to the journal and see if we have the volume/issue you need.
d. Contact the reference desk.
e. When all else fails, you can submit an Interlibrary Loan.
The easiest way is to search the library web site using the "Search this Site" box. Or you can use the Site Index, or you can click on Find Articles.
You'll need the CSA Endnote Connection files for UAF, refer to the instructions on how to get these files.
Emeriti may access journals and journal articles from home the same way UAF students, faculty, and staff do.
There are two options:
- Use your UAF Email username/password to log in.
