UAF students, staff, and faculty can now enter the library to pick out or to return their own materials, accessing the library by PolarExpress card.

Public library patrons may check materials out by appointment from Rasmuson Library. Set up an appointment to pick up items.

How do I find the call number of a book?

  1. Almost every book in the library has a call number on it, on the spine, except for bound periodicals.

  2. Rasmuson Library, like most academic libraries in the United States, uses the Library of Congress Classification System to organize books.
     
  3. To find the call number of a book in the Library Catalog, after finding the book you are seeking, look for the Call #
