Start your research early and always ask for help from your professors and reference librarians. Student groups of 2 or 3 may schedule individual sessions with a librarian to review helpful resources for your project, including finding journal articles, books and other materials appropriate to your topic.

The UAF Writing Center is another place to get help when it comes time to write your paper. They work with students on a one-to-one basis at any point in the writing process—planning, drafting revising. Make an appointment by calling ahead or stopping by at your convenience. The Writing Center also has 18 computers available on a walk-in basis, with technicians and tutors on hand to assist with computer-related questions.
