Every year we’re subscribing to more and more information online. You’ll find many of our journals online, as well as a huge collection of e-books. Here’s some info about our online databases:
- Library Catalog: Use the library catalog to identify and locate library materials including books, periodical titles, videos, films, sound recordings, maps and more.
- UAF Journals List: UAF libraries subscribe to thousands of journals. Use the UAF Journals List to find out what the library currently subscribes to in paper or electronic full-text formats.
- Article Indexes and Collections: UAF Libraries subscribe to a wide variety of general and subject specific research databases, indexes, abstracts and full-text resources. Find resources arranged by subject, title, or vendor name.
- Interlibrary Loan (ILL): Rasmuson doesn’t own it? Don’t fret! If you need books, photocopies, or audiovisual materials that are not available on campus Interlibrary Loan would like to help! Register in ILLiad (you must first have registered with the library circulation desk) and you’re all set to request items you need for your research. ILLiad allows you to check the status of your requests and keeps a history of items you have requested. Many Rasmuson and BioSciences databases allow you to submit interlibrary loan requests directly from the database. When you’re viewing a specific item in a database, look for the Nanook icon and/or the phrase “Submit a UAF ILL request”.
