Learning 2.0 #13 del.icio.us
July 3rd, 2007 Posted in Learning 2.0I started using del.icio.us several years ago, when it was just starting up. It was terrible! I was going to use it for bookmarking only, but there was no way to do a number of things I wanted to do, like upload a set of bookmarks at once. Since my goal was to use it to share the ILL bookmarks staff use to find unusual publications, this wasn’t the best way to do it (we used the wiki).
Now that tagging is becoming so popular, that’s the real advantage of this site, and others that allow tagging. It’s not just sharing bookmarks with others, it’s finding more information similar to what you have already marked. The possibilities for tagging are unlimited, and with delicious now having rss feeds, etc. it will be great.
