This is not a copyright licensing fee. Fees are charged for use of all materials managed by the Archives regardless of copyright status except that these fees will be waived for government agencies and non-profit organizations in Alaska with tax-exempt identification numbers, and for news coverage in newspapers and television. The researcher is solely responsible for the use made of any material secured from the Archives and any infringement of copyright. The Archives will make a reasonable attempt to inform the researcher of the status of rights. Reproduction of any item must contain a complete attribution statement.

These fees are in addition to any charges for reproduction services. Payments must be made in advance.
