Paul H. McCarthy Research Room

On January 27, Chancellor Brian Rogers announced the renaming of part of the Alaska and Polar Regions Collections & Archives. Now named the Paul H. McCarthy Research Room, after former archivist, library director and Dean of Libraries Paul McCarthy.

A ribbon-cutting and 50th anniversary celebration will be held on July 7, 2015.

In Paul's name, the library has established a fund that will support undergraduate and graduate students doing research in the archives.

If you are interested in donating to this fund, please contact Suzanne Bishop, Rasmuson Library Development Officer, at sbishop@alaska.edu or (907) 474-6997.
