See our Library Services Updates page for information about changes to Rasmuson Library Services.

UAF students, staff, and faculty can now enter the library to pick out or to return their own materials, accessing the library by PolarExpress card.

Public library patrons can again place holds on our materials through the public library's catalog. Items can be picked up at the Noel Wien Library or the North Pole Branch.

University patrons who are reluctant to enter the library can still check materials out by appointment. Set an appointment to pick up items.

Homer Communities of Memory

Our latest Jukebox, Homer Communities of Memory has been released.

Funded by the Alaska Humanities Forum, and created by the Jukebox Oral History division of UAF Rasmuson Library, the Homer Communities of Memory highlights the gathering at Land's End Resort in Homer, Alaska on April 26 & 27, 1996, where people told stories about their life in Homer, making a living there, and what made them want to stay in their small community. You can access these stories by clicking on an individual below. Thanks to the participants and their families for allowing us to share these stories and for providing photographs.
